Departmental Information

Department of Mathematics has been actively functioning since 2010 and is permanently affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. Presently the department is headed by Dr.R.V.Kene and Miss. M.S.Palaspagar has joined as a Assistant Professor. The faculty of the department actively participated in curricular and co-curricular activities. The department has organized the different activities like guest lectures, poster competition, seminar on “Career Fest for College Girls”and also organized workshop on “Certificate Course on Application of Equation Editor in Mathematics”.

Goals :

• Students should appreciate the beauty, fun and power of mathematics.
• Students should be able to link applications and theory and be able to apply mathematics in a variety of settings.
• Students should develop effective thinking and communication skill.
• Students should strive to be good citizens who understand the impact of their work on society

Mission:

The mission of the mathematics department is to provide an environment where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics and mathematical application. Moreover, the department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, enabling them to become advanced learners, to continue to grow in their chosen professions, and to function as productive citizens.
