Department of zoology was established in 2008 and affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. First batch of B.Sc. Zoology degree passed out in 2010. The department has two full time qualified faculties i.e. Dr Mahesh Chikhale and Dr. Gajanan Santape who are involved in curricular activities.

Besides curricular activities in the department, faculty members are seriously engaged in co-curricular and extension activity in molding the students. To motivate the students department organizes biodiversity field excursions. Department also organizes guest lectures by various eminent personalities from various fields of zoology . Department also conduct various extracurricular activities like essay writing, project competitions, poster making competition etc.

Aim and Objective :

• To make the students aware of natural resources and environment.
• To develop capacity to compare the theoretical zoology with practical process.
• To create social obligation among the student.
• To develop students’ practical scientific skills.
• To prepare students for competitive examination.
